WINZAVOD CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARTY ART PRESENTS

OPEN STUDIOS

The space on the territory of WINZAVOD CCA, combining artists' studio and international art-residency. It is a place which creates a new generation of contemporary artists through work, interaction and communication of different cultures.

About the project

It is an experimental project which was created and organized by young artists to get the opportunity to become required in professional art sphere.

WINZAVOD CCA supports this initiative by providing the space, and, using its experience in working with young artists, develops a program of the project.

Project space is a former Aidan Gallery (and then Aidan Studio) space, which was situated at WINZAVOD CCA from its very creation.
Programs
"Studio" program
Program length — 5 months

  1. 8 artists per program
  2. Artists are provided with studio space
  3. Group exhibition in the end of the program; opportunity to organise a workshop by the artist
  4. Educational program
  5. Opportunity to go to an art-residency abroad (on competition basis)

Main conditions of participation in "Studio" Program
  • Age of participant: from 18 to 35 yo
  • Place of living: Russia*
  • Cost of participation: 16 000 RUR/month, two fee-free spaces available
  • Selection of participants through open call

"Pop up" program

Program length — 5 months

1. 3 artists per program
2. Educational program
3. Group exhibition in the end of the program; opportunity to organise a workshop by the artist
4. Opportunity to go to an art-residency abroad (on competition basis)



Main conditions of participation in "Pop up" Program
  • Age of participant: from 18 to 35 yo
  • Place of living: Russia*
  • Cost of participation: 5 000 RUR/month
  • Selection of participants through open call

"Residency" program
Program length — 2 months

  1. 1 artist per program
  2. Artist is provided with studio space and accommodation
  3. Project presentation in the end of program; opportunity to organise a workshop by the artist
  4. Educational program
  5. Excursion series "Contemporary Russian Art"

Main conditions of participation in "Residency" Program

  • Age of participant: 21+
  • Place of living: from anywhere except Russia
  • Cost of participation: free of charge (on conditions of exchange with partner residencies) or € 800 per month (excluding travel costs)
  • Selection of participants through open call
